These Australian grown, certified organic brown chickpeas are great for sprouting as they have a nutty texture. Chickpeas are a staple in a vegan or wholefood pantry.
Sprouting time: Chickpeas take between 3-4 days to sprout.
Method: Sprouting jar or sprouting bag.
- Soak 3/4 cup of organic chickpeas in water for 6-8 hours.
- Rinse and drain well.
- Add your seeds to a sprouting jar or sprouting bag.
Sprouting jar: Leave your sprouting jar upside down on an angle and drain for 8 hours. Rinse with cold water every 8 hours and repeat the process until your chickpeas have sprouted (3-4 days).
Sprouting bag: Hang your bag on a hook and leave it to drain for 8 hours. Rinse your chickpeas with water and repeat the process until they sprout (3-4 days).
